I am saying it could have been faked and it also could be real. We know, smart people like yourself wouldn't do that. Yeah, only fools ever question stuff like history and God's existence. Moonlanding is questionable only for Trailer people around the globe. Oxenfree avoided that and I recommend you to try and appreciate that rather than see it as a problem.

The main focus for your work would be in the history and "facts" it represents rather than in the game itself. Considering the amount of critical thinking and claims about the landing being faked, the game would instantly be flamed as political propaganda instead of original work from the medium. Making a moon trip game that takes place in the 60's wouldn't be a smart thing to do, IMO. I appreciate that there are no questionable 'facts', political agendas or preset dates that are never questioned because "that's how this history book says". Referring to historical dates we are taught is not a necessity. Originally posted by karhu:The game doesn't claim to take place in our universe as far as I recall. On your other point, because a very small part of the population believes the moon landings were faked precludes me from writing fiction in the 1960's? Your world view must be pretty narrow. The story would have to explicitly state it takes place in an alternate history if it's going to have (on purpose) glaring errors in it. If any reader complains, I'll just tell them in takes place in a fictional universe!Ī story that takes place in the present or past is, by default, considered to take place in our universe. Maybe I should write a fictional story about a fictional character like Robin Hood and have him answer his cell phone. You seriously think that a fictional story can't have errors in it that people would notice and have issue with? Also, the watch was a Rolex, so the company would have had to have been founded 1,600 years early also. Maybe in this mysterious alternate universe the movie takes place in, they discovered watchmaking 1,600 years early". By your way of thinking, goofs like this aren't goofs because you could always use the reasoning "The film doesn't claim to take place in our universe.

In the goofs it says that one of the actors portraying a roman was wearing a watch. Seriously, if this is your defense of their screwup, that's pretty weak and lazy.
